day course - Saying “No”: being assertive in the workplace Being assertive is
not the same thing as being aggressive. It is possible to stand your ground
without the situation deteriorating into a major argument, withdrawing from it,
or something much worse. Practitioners and managers working with challenging
and demanding service users will find this course useful. Delivered by
experienced trainers, including a Master NLP Practitioner, this course explores
the reasons for a lack of assertiveness and provides practical tools for
dealing with the pressure to say “yes” when really the response should be “no”. This training is
designed to enhance the safety and confidence of staff within health and social
care settings. It is suitable for everyone, more especially people delivering
personal, social and educational services. The course also
explores the impact of behaviour upon service users, self, colleagues and
agency. Participants who
obtain 60% or more in the course Knowledge Check will be awarded a Certificate
of Achievement. This course will
provide evidence toward NV/SVQ awards. At the end of
