2 day course: Safer Practice Managing Conflict
This
training is designed to improve the practice and enhance the safety of staff
within health and social care settings. It is particularly relevant for experienced
practitioners and frontline managers in all health and social care settings including
residential
care, outreach services, day care services, homeless accommodation, services
delivered by Housing Departments and Housing Associations, youth services and early years.
It is also very relevant to police services and community safety wardens.
The
course explores the impact of practice upon client, self, colleagues and
agency; and, provides practical strategies and techniques for resolving
conflict with colleagues, clients, or others. It covers important legislation
and focuses on the standards of practice expected for registration with the
SSSC.
A
Certificate of Achievement will be issued to participants who obtain 60% or
over in the course Knowledge Check.
Day 2 of the course is accredited by the
Royal Environmental Health Institute for
Scotland
(REHIS) and certificates are issued jointly by the
Institute and Tactics, Edinburgh.
